Your First RobotRx Session: What to Expect
Wondering what happens at your first appointment? Here's a step-by-step walkthrough of your initial 90-minute session, from check-in to your first treatment on the RX2600.
Before You Arrive
Your first session is 90 minutes, longer than a standard visit because it includes both a clinical assessment and a full treatment. We recommend arriving about 10 minutes early so you can check in and get settled without feeling rushed.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows access to the treatment area. Athletic wear works well. You won't need to change into a gown. If you have any imaging, medical records, or notes from previous providers, bring them along — they can help your therapist understand your history, though they're not required.
The Assessment: Measuring Your Baseline
The session starts with a comprehensive assessment. Your therapist will measure your current state using standardized clinical instruments: grip strength, range of motion, and key mobility markers. These aren't subjective assessments. They're numbers. Degrees of rotation. Pounds of grip force. Inches of reach.
This data serves two purposes. First, it gives your therapist the information they need to design your treatment plan. They'll identify which muscles are shortened, which movement patterns are restricted, and where the root cause of your pain likely lives. Second, it becomes your baseline — the benchmark against which every future session is measured. When you come back for session two, three, or ten, we'll remeasure and show you exactly how far you've come.
The Treatment: Your First Time on the RX2600
After the assessment, you'll move directly into your first treatment. Your therapist will position you on the treatment table and program the RX2600 to target the muscles identified during the assessment.
The robot applies controlled, static pressure — up to 30 pounds — in sustained 21-second intervals. You'll also feel therapeutic heat and vibration working simultaneously. Most patients describe the sensation as deep pressure that's intense but not painful. It's different from massage. There's no kneading or rolling. It's a focused, sustained hold that gives the muscle tissue time to release.
Your therapist monitors the entire session, adjusting the protocol in real time based on how your muscles respond. The RX2600 also senses tension automatically and adapts accordingly.
After the Session
When the treatment is complete, your therapist will walk you through what they found, what they treated, and what to expect in the days ahead. Many patients feel significant relief during or immediately after the first session. Some experience mild soreness the following day, similar to what you might feel after a deep tissue massage or an intense workout. This is normal and typically resolves within 24 to 48 hours.
Your therapist will recommend a treatment plan based on your assessment: how many sessions, how frequently, and what goals you're working toward. There's no pressure to commit on the spot. You'll have real data, a clear explanation, and time to decide.
Pricing and How to Book
Your first session is $225 for the full 90 minutes (assessment plus treatment). Every session after that is $150 per treatment hour. We accept cash, credit cards, and FSA/HSA cards.
If you're ready to commit to a treatment plan, we offer two packages: the Advanced Package at $1,500 for 10 sessions plus 1 free (11 total), and the Premium Package at $2,250 for 15 sessions plus 2 free (17 total).
To book your first session, visit our contact page and fill out the booking form, or start a chat with our team. We don't use automated online scheduling. A team member will reach out to confirm your appointment personally.
