Treatment & Technology

What is Robotic Precision Therapy?

Robotic Precision Therapy uses the RX2600, an FDA Class II registered robotic system that applies controlled, sustained pressure combined with heat and vibration to lengthen shortened muscle tissue. Unlike manual therapy, it delivers consistent precision every session — up to 30 lbs of pressure in sustained 21-second intervals. The result is structural change, not temporary relief.

How is this different from massage or physical therapy?

Massage and manual therapy rely on a practitioner's hands, which fatigue over time and vary between sessions. The RX2600 delivers the same calibrated pressure every time, sustained for longer than human hands can maintain. It targets the root cause of pain — shortened muscles — rather than just treating symptoms. Think of it as the difference between guesswork and precision.

What does the RX2600 actually do during a session?

The robotic arm applies controlled static pressure (up to 30 lbs) to targeted muscle groups while simultaneously delivering heat and vibration. The sustained 21-second intervals give tissues time to release and lengthen, while vibration calms the nervous system. Your therapist identifies the muscles driving your pain and programs the robot to treat the cause, not just where it hurts.

Is the RX2600 FDA registered?

Yes. The RX2600 is an FDA Class II registered medical device, designed, engineered, and manufactured in Plymouth, Michigan, USA.

What conditions does RobotRx treat?

We treat over 40 conditions including chronic back and neck pain, sciatica, shoulder injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, TMJ disorders, sports-related strains, and more. Most chronic pain originates from muscles that are too short, tight, or out of balance — and that's exactly what the RX2600 addresses. Visit our What We Treat page for the full list.

Does it hurt?

Most patients describe the treatment as deep pressure that's intense but not painful. The robot adjusts automatically based on your muscle tension, and your therapist monitors the session throughout. Many patients feel significant relief during or immediately after treatment.

Pricing & Payment

How much does a session cost?

A standard Robotic Precision Therapy session is $150 per treatment hour. Your first session is $225, which includes 1.5 hours — a full assessment to establish your baseline plus a complete treatment. Every session after that is one treatment hour at $150.

Do you offer packages or bundles?

Yes, we offer multi-session packages at a reduced per-session rate. Package details and pricing are available when you book your first session or reach out to our team. We'll recommend the right package based on your treatment plan.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, credit cards, and FSA/HSA cards. FSA and HSA funds can be used because the RX2600 is an FDA Class II registered medical device.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not bill insurance directly at this time. However, treatments may be reimbursable depending on your plan — especially through HSA or FSA accounts. We can provide a superbill (itemized receipt) for you to submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

Why is the first session longer?

Your first visit includes a full assessment where your therapist measures your baseline — grip strength, range of motion, and mobility markers. This data becomes the foundation for your treatment plan and the benchmark we use to track your progress. After the assessment, you receive a full treatment in the same session. Subsequent sessions are focused entirely on treatment.

Your First Visit

How do I book my first session?

Visit our contact page and fill out the booking form, or start a chat with our team. We don't offer self-service online scheduling — a team member will reach out to confirm your appointment personally. This ensures every new patient starts with a real conversation.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows access to the treatment area. Athletic wear works well. You won't need to change into a gown.

How long is a typical session?

Your first session is approximately 1.5 hours, including the assessment and treatment. All subsequent sessions are one hour.

What happens during my first visit?

You'll start with a brief check-in at the front desk. Your therapist will then walk you through the assessment — measuring baseline data like grip strength and range of motion. After establishing your baseline, you'll receive your first full treatment on the RX2600. By the end of the session, you'll have measurable data and a clear sense of how the treatment feels.

Should I arrive early?

We recommend arriving about 10 minutes early for your first visit so we can walk you through the process before your session begins. For follow-up sessions, arriving on time is fine.

Results & Expectations

How quickly will I see results?

Many patients feel meaningful change in their first 1–3 sessions. Unlike manual therapy where relief fades within hours or days, results from the RX2600 are structural — the muscle tissue stays longer. Results compound over time, with each session building on the last.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your condition, severity, and goals. Some patients experience significant improvement in 3–5 sessions. Others with chronic or complex conditions may benefit from a longer treatment plan. Your therapist will recommend a plan based on your assessment data and track your progress at each visit.

How do you measure progress?

We use standardized clinical instruments to measure grip strength, range of motion, and mobility markers at your first session and at key intervals throughout your treatment. You'll see your numbers change over time — you don't have to guess whether it's working.

Is the improvement permanent?

The structural changes achieved through treatment are lasting, not temporary. However, the habits and activities that shortened your muscles in the first place can gradually reverse progress if left unaddressed. Many patients incorporate periodic maintenance sessions to sustain their results long-term.

Safety & Suitability

Is Robotic Precision Therapy safe?

Yes. The RX2600 is an FDA Class II registered medical device with built-in safety mechanisms. It senses muscle tension and adjusts automatically. Every session is supervised by a licensed therapist who monitors your treatment in real time.

Are there any contraindications?

Certain conditions may not be suitable for robotic therapy, including active fractures, open wounds over the treatment area, certain vascular conditions, and some acute inflammatory conditions. Your therapist will review your health history during the assessment to ensure the treatment is appropriate for you.

Can athletes use this for performance not just pain?

Absolutely. Many athletes use the RX2600 to improve flexibility, increase range of motion, and enhance explosiveness. Longer muscles contract more powerfully, which translates directly to athletic performance. You don't need to be in pain to benefit from treatment.

Is this suitable for older adults?

Yes. The RX2600 adjusts automatically based on your body's response, making it safe and effective across all ages. Many older adults use robotic therapy to restore mobility, reduce stiffness, and improve quality of life without the physical demands of traditional exercise-based rehabilitation.
